In these cases, it is veritably periodic usable to improve focus the network's bandwidth appliance by breaking the traffic flow upon multiple qualified paths. Using multiple paths for the equivalent traffic flow increases the certainty of the network, it absorbs deluxe forwarding resources from the network nodes and also it overcomes link failure provide security. In this paper, we illustrate several problems related to splitting a traffic flow over multiple paths while minimizing the absorption of forwarding resources mitigates failures and implementing security.

Evaluating Multipath TCP Resilience against Link Failures

Standard TCP is the de facto reliable transfer protocol for the Internet. It is designed to establish a reliable connection using only a single network interface. However, standard TCP with single interfacing performs poorly due to intermittent node connectivity. This requires the re-establishment of connections as the IP addresses change. Multi-path TCP (MPTCP) has emerged to utilize multiple ...

A multipath routing strategy to prevent flooding disruption attacks in link state routing protocols for MANETs

Multipath routing has been proposed to increase resilience against network failures or improve security in Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks (MANETs). The Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR) protocol has been adopted by several multipath routing strategies. They implement Multipoint Relay (MPRs) nodes as a flooding mechanism for distributing control information. Ideally, the construction of multiple disjo...

Fault-tolerant Multipath Traffic Engineering for MPLS Networks

Multipath traffic engineering utilizes several multiple paths for transporting the traffic demand between source LSR and destination LSR. Using the multipath, we can effectively control the network resource utilization. If maximally disjoint multiple LSPs are found, the multipath traffic engineering can provide appropriate fault-tolerant routing. In this paper, we propose the fault-tolerant mul...

The Feedback Based Mechanism for Video Streaming Over Multipath Ad Hoc Networks

Ad hoc networks are multi-hop wireless networks without a pre-installed infrastructure. Such networks are widely used in military applications and in emergency situations as they permit the establishment of a communication network at very short notice with a very low cost. Video is very sensitive for packet loss and wireless ad-hoc networks are error prone due to node mobility and weak links. H...

Throughput-Optimal Load Balancing for Intra Datacenter Networks

Traffic load-balancing in datacenters alleviates hot spots and improves network utilization. In this paper, a stable innetwork load-balancing algorithm is developed in the setting of software-defined networking. A control plane configures a data plane over successive intervals of time. While the MaxWeight algorithm can be applied in this setting and offers certain throughput optimality properti...
